About Olivia Fulton

Olivia originally studied sports science, but her severe asthma prevented her from pursuing a career in sports.

Olivia shares her experience living with life-threatening asthma on her blog, raising awareness on how severe the condition can be.

History of the Condition

After changing to a job in nursing, Olivia’s new career was cut short due to life-threatening severe asthma. Volunteering with AUKCAR, Olivia has collaborated with researchers, reviewed lay summaries, and acted as a subject in PhD proposals.

Olivia also facilitates "SPEAK Asthma," the group of children and young persons attached to AUKCAR. Her primary role is to ensure that the voices of children and young people living with asthma are heard. She is also a member of the Chief Scientist Office Public Engagement Group.
