Olivia's History with the Condition

Olivia originally studied Sports Science, but her severe asthma prevented a career in sports.

After changing to a career in nursing, progress in her job was stopped short due to severe life-threatening asthma. Volunteering with AUKCAR, Olivia has collaborated with researchers, reviewed lay summaries, and acted as a subject in Ph.D. proposals.

Olivia also helps "SPEAK Asthma," the children and young persons' group attached to AUKCAR. Her primary role is to ensure that the voices of children and young people living with asthma are heard. She is also a member of the Chief Scientist Office Public Engagement Group.

Olivia shares her experience living with severe, life-threatening asthma on her blog. She raises awareness about how severe asthma can be.
